Real places. Real sound.

Markus recording sound with a handheld recorder on a rocky shore, a ship on the far horizon

Olo begins with recordings made in biodiverse natural environments around the world. The sounds of forests, wetlands, water, birds and insects are woven together with original acoustic compositions to create a sense of depth, movement and presence.

You don't just listen to Olo.
You step inside it.

For the moments when you need a shift

Olo gives you somewhere to go without going anywhere.

Olo comes with you, and works offline. Use it at home, while travelling, in a hotel room, between meetings, before sleep — whenever you need a moment of your own.

The research

Measured in the body

In a peer-reviewed study co-authored by Olo's founders, ten minutes of a nature-based soundscape improved heart rate variability and slowed heart and breathing rate — signs of the body shifting toward rest.

Participants also reported feeling less anxious, and more comfortable, creative and connected.

You don't need to know how to meditate

There is nothing to get right.
Nothing to achieve.
Just listen.
Notice what happens.

Our story

Olo began with a question we had each been asking in different ways for decades: what helps human beings feel most alive?

Markus Pesonen and Catarina Brazão on the Lisbon waterfront at dusk, the 25 de Abril bridge behind them
Markus Pesonen and Catarina Brazão, Olo’s co-founders

Markus came to it through nature, music, sound, and the way environments shape experience. Catarina came to it through psychosomatic work, nervous-system regulation, and years of helping people recover their relationship with themselves.

We saw that people were trying to change while living inside environments that kept their bodies braced. So we built Olo to change the space first — through sound, darkness, design, human presence, and adaptive intelligence.

The goal is simple: help people feel safe enough to feel again, trust what they know, and return to aliveness.
